EHS wins at Great Choices Student Film Festival | Arts & Culture

EHS Broadcast students participated at the 4th Annual Meijer Great Choices Student Film Festival was held at Celebration Cinema–North on Saturday, June 9, 2012.

Students throughout Michigan were asked to create a 30-second public service announcement in three categories: Healthy Lifestyles, Building Character, and/or Celebrating Diversity for Grades K-6 and Grades 7-12 . This event highlighted the top ten in the six different sections. The top three winners in each category were awarded a Meijer gift certificate: third place winners $500, second place winners $1,000, and first place winners $2,000.

Eastern High School had several students place in the top ten.  Mark VanBruggen received first place for his PSA in Building Character, K-6 grades and Alex Byers received second place for his PSA in Building Character, 7-12 grades.  Also in the top ten were Spencer Miller, Noah Hines, and Sayed Zawad.
