Connie Kuhnle has a love for the rural landscape of Michigan and can often be seen painting on location capturing the character of old farm houses and their surroundings. Painting from life is the best way to see the true colors and values and understand the three-dimensionality of the subject in order to paint it well. Connie is also a gifted portrait artist. People and their faces fascinate Connie and she enjoys capturing the unique characteristics that make each person a unique individual. Another artistic passion is teaching the joy and practice of art to individuals and groups.
Connie attended Michigan State University and graduated from Kendal College of Art. Her work has received numerous awards nationally and her work is in many private and corporate collections. She is represented by Byrnboehm Gallery in Grand Rapid, TreeLine Gallery in Sutton’s Bay and ButtonPetter Gallery in Douglas.
