The Head and The Heart this Thursday at Meijer Gardens | Arts & Culture
Thursday, August 2, 7:00 pm
The Head and the Heart write and play songs that speak of the ghosts left behind and of moving forward that sound like folksy Beatles or Crosby Sills Nash & Young. Catchy piano melodies stand side by side with a trio of harmonies and solid minimalist drums, and plenty of hand percussion and foot stomps to make the live show inspiring and fun.
The Head and the Heart came together in the summer of 2009, and from the first months of the band's life, their reputation as a phenomenal live band has preceded them wherever they play. The band's first album was self-released in June 2010; a palette of orchestral elements weave their way through the album, including cello, glockenspiel, and violin.
