Bike rack art in Ada | Arts & Culture
ADA, MI - It looks like a sculpture, but it’s more than artwork. It also serves as a bike rack. You can find it in downtown Ada. This eye-catching Michigan-made bicycle rack was installed by Ada Township as part of the recent Bronson Street re-paving and streetscape project, according to Planning Director Jim Ferro. The "Bike Petal" was designed by Pete Lazdins and Vern Ohlman, both principals at the Grand Rapids architectural firm Design Plus, and is fabricated by ACEMCO, an ISO-certified contract manufacturer in Spring Lake.
The township and Ada Bike Shop provided the financing for the bike rack installation. If you’re not sure how to get your bike into this unique structure, check out the instructions on the bike rack.
