Forest Hills Adult Community Band winter concert

Ada, MI - The Forest Hills Adult Community Band presents their annual winter concert Sunday, December 12th at 2:30pm at the Forest Hills Eastern High School Auditorium. The concert is free and will last approximately one hour.

The Concert Band is made-up of approximately 75 members. It's musicians come from all walks of life, leaving their professions at the band room door. Their music is for ALL ages and they are sure that you will enjoy yourself!

FHE Presents Arthur's Stone, Merlin's Fire: The Making of a King

This exciting drama is about young Arthur, who is surrounded by political strife, wars against foreign invaders and civil unrest. After pulling a mystical sword from a stone and being declared emperor of Britain, the young king struggles to decide his fate as forces of good and evil attempt to influence him.

Performances are November 4, 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday, November 6. All performances are in the FHE Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students at the door.

FHC Presents To Kill a Mockingbird

The FHC Theatre Department will present the drama, To Kill a Mockingbird, based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book by Harper Lee. Atticus Finch is a lawyer in a racially divided Alabama town in the 1930s.

Ada Arts Council presents Art Spree fundraising event on Sunday, October 17

The Ada Arts Council is holding "Art Spree", its 5th Annual Autumn Art Festival, on Sunday, October 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Victory Club restaurant, 396 Pettis Ave. SE, in Ada.

Proceeds from the event support the Council's Rebecca Vogelsang Memorial Scholarship in the arts at GVSU.

The Victory Club's cash bar will be open, and the kitchen will be serving a limited selection from the restaurant's menu.

Enjoy live music while participating in the silent and live auctions.

Admission is $5.00 per person, which includes complementary hors d'oeuvres and entry in a door prize drawing.


International Food Fest for teens

Cascade, MI - The Cascade Public Library will be presenting a veriety of international foods and snacks for teens to sample at 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 21st. This cultural program is for teens in grades 6-12.  A list of food will be announced prior to the event.

Forest Hills Eastern Orchestra presents a Night of Celtic Rock with special guest String Cheese

Ada, MI - Forest Hills Eastern Orchestra is hosting a special night of Celtic Rock Music featuring String Cheese on Wednesday, October 20th at 7:30 pm.

String Cheese is an electrifying combination of Diana Ladio on fiddle and Ali Haraburda on cello that puts a fresh, rock-influenced spin on classic Celtic tunes. Their feel-good melodies should have you stomping your feet in the isles for the entire evening.
