This year Forest Hills Northern will be sponsoring the Power of Education Foundation, which has a school in Port du Prince, Haiti.
That school has a student named Taina. Every day, in pursuit of an education, she walks 2.6 miles to school and 2.6 miles home.
In honor of Taina, FHN will be hosting a 2.6 mile race. The race will take place at twilight (7:30 pm) on Wednesday, September 26. The enrollment cost is $20 dollars and includes a T-shirt, water, and snacks.
