31st anniversary of Deanie Peters' disappearance
News

GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP (WZZM) -- Sunday marks the 31st anniversary of Deanie Peter's disappearance. Outside St. Matthews Lutheran Church, friends of Deanie Peters stop to remember.

The only physical memorial of her life is a tree outside the church. She was last seen at Forest Hills Central Middle School.

Her mom was waiting for her to use the restroom, she said she would be right back. That was the last anyone has heard of her.

At the ceremony to honor Peters, friends beg anyone with information to come forward with an anonymous tip. They say they don't want to punish anyone, but just to bring peace to her aging parents and friends. Their goal is to give her a Christian burial so she can be laid to rest.

On February 6th, WZZM News at Six, Deanie Peter's father talks exclusively with WZZM 13 News about his daughter's disappearance.
