HOLLAND, Mich.--  New Holland Brewing Co.’s newest brew pays tribute to the Michigan company, Carhartt.

The Dearborn-based business tapped New Holland to create a brew to celebrate the clothing company’s 125th anniversary, as well as salute the hard-working people who wear the brand.

The Carhartt Woodsman will debut at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado Oct. 2-4.  The session-strength pale ale is barrel aged and brewed using hops grown in Cascade, giving it a unique taste.  Its name is tied to the tin man from the Wizard of Oz, which legend has it, was written in Holland by L. Frank Baum in 1899, when Carhartt was already ten years old.
