FHN - Ada Farmer's Market opens June 19th and needs volunteers

From: http://fhps.us

The Ada Farmers’ Market opens June 19 and continues every Tuesday afternoon beginning at noon. “Kids in the Market” is looking for student volunteers.

In the Market, from noon until 4 pm until school resumes, the Market conducts a “Kids in the Market” program with a variety of kids’ activities some of which include making newspaper pots, sidewalk chalk art, a scavenger hunt, bee hive observation, veggie toss, face painting, etc.  This year we also are bringing in “experts” to do origami, balloon art and “Yoga in the Market” for moms and kids.  These activities need hands on guidance and observation.

We are looking for high school students to fill this role as volunteers.  If interested, please contact Bob Kullgren at 897-4550.

EHS / NHS Diversity Leadership Students Share Lunch

EHS / NHS Diversity Leadership Students Share Lunch

From: http://fhps.us

The Diversity Leadership Students at Eastern High School hosted an exchange luncheon with the ESL (English as a Second Language) students from Northern on Wednesday, April 18.

The students created a “getting to know you game” to use as an ice breaker to create conversation and commonality amongst the students, then they all had lunch together with selections from our cafeteria. After lunch the Eastern students paired up with the Northern students and took them on a tour  around the school. The students came away with appreciation of differences and shared interests that helps all of us get better acquainted.
