GR Triathlon is back for 3rd year

The communities of Ada and Cascade will open their streets for the Grand Rapids Triathlon for a third year.  The triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, June 9th.  The event is open for athletes from beginners to advanced triathletes.

Organizers say the Grand Rapids Triathlon was chosen for the second year in a row as the one and only Talent ID race in Michigan.  This puts the youth participating in this event on the radar for the next US Olympic Triathlon Team.  This triathlon has also been chosen as the first event in the season for the Mideast Collegiate Triathlon circuit, which means thousands of college level athletes will be participating.
