Photo Gallery | Deanie Peters Photo Gallery #4
Before Dean Marie Pyle Peters and her family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1979, she spent the first 12 years of her life growing up in Los Angeles, California.
Deanie was born on September 24th, 1966 in Bellflower, California at Bellwood Hospital.
Deanie’s mother and father (Duane and Mary Pyle) initially set up home in Paramount, California which is near Cerritos.
Deanie’s mother and father divorced when she was 2 years old.
Deanie and her mother moved to Bellflower to live with Mary’s parents while Duane moved to Cerritos, California where he remains today.
Mary eventually met and married John Peters, who moved the three of them to Whittier, California which is where Deanie started school.
At some point during the early to mid 1970s, John and Mary Peters had a son, William, and soon moved the family to Poway, California which is just north of San Diego.
Deanie began attending a Lutheran school in Poway until her step-father’s company merged and he chose to follow a better job opportunity and move the family to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1979.
The pictures you see here were graciously provided by Deanie’s father, Duane Pyle. The photos depict Deanie during her formative years doing what kids do, from going to the zoo, attending birthday parties, spending quality time with family and playing softball.
It’s a small flip-book of Deanie’s life before her brief time in West Michigan, which ended with her mysterious disappearance from Forest Hills Central Middle School on February 5th, 1981.
